We ended up with a room that was not near the water as we had hoped for, but was up high and was even better! We had fantastic views of the water and the mountains beyond. The whole resort is an older style that has had work done on it to make it very usable. It is in basically a residential area and the staff were helpful with various requests we had. Its location was great for us exploring the north and east coasts prior to our stay in Waikiki.

Staff was lovely and helpful. Banana bread each morning was yummy. Enjoyed lounging on floating docks and walking down to the beach where a sea turtle was hanging out every day of our stay! The boat ride for snorkeling was amazing!

Location was wonderful-rooms were quiet except for roosters crowing in am. if you have your air conditioning on you probably can’t hear them.

We loved the location as it was tucked away from the hustle and busy city. We wanted a calming scenic location and we got it here. It was on the Eastside of the island close to kaluoa ranch where we were visiting. 15min away by car. The resort provided kayaks and paddle boards which we tried and had fun. They provide ultra water filtration for your water bottle which was convenient because we hiked a couple times and filled up our hydro flask. We stayed a week and eventually needed to wash some clothes so it was nice that they provide coined washers and dryers on site, which could be billed to your room for convenience. Huge plus. Breakfast was very light such as fruit and banana bread with options of coffee or tea. We planned to eat local restaurants to support the local businesses so we didn't mind.

The location is gorgeous! In a calm, quiet neighborhood right on the water. Clean, spacious room, with a big deck to relax. The bed was nice and comfy. Friendly staff. Big sitting area with a view of the water in the lobby with coffee and banana bread in the morning. Nice kitchenette. Slow pace and very relaxing! Felt like “old” Hawaii!

Paradise Bay Resort was hidden in what appears to be a residential area. The place is beautiful! Pool, jacuzzi, kayaks, lawn chairs out on river/bay and very lush Hawaiian gardens. The staff is great and very helpful. The WIFI works great and they have a nice 'club house/lobby' to sit in and relax. I also like that they are right off of the 83 which puts you right next the the Valley of Temple, 10 minutes away from Kualoa Ranch, and 30 minutes for the Polynesian Cultural center. Lots of local places to eat near by and Safeway is 4 miles south of the resort and there are lots of beaches near by.

The overall facilities were very nice. The view from our balcony was amazing. Every morning, we would awaken, make coffee, walk out onto our deck, and watch the morning rise over the mountains while listening to the roosters crowing and the birds singing. We filmed most mornings to capture the feeling and take it home. The staff are amazing, kind and very helpful. We had a medical emergency, and they were extremely helpful.

Paradise Bay is definitely paradise! We had one of the Mountain View apartments and enjoyed a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony with views of the lovely, carefully maintained gardens, the mountains and even the ocean. If you like a quiet location with lots of beautiful nature surrounding you, combined with true Aloha Spirit this is the place to be: Everyone made us feel really welcome and the stuff was always very helpful. We loved the kayak tour, the live music, the coffee, everything. You couldn't find a better starting point for exploring the beautiful east coast of Ohau - and if you feel like experiencing all the buzz of Honolulu even that isn't far away.
